Reduced cortisol = Less stress, better sleep, improved cognition

Better sleep = Improved emotion & weight management

Improved cognition = Increased productivity/ more time for YOU

Less stress = More laughter, improved mood

Movement is medicine.

When I hear the word Nutrition, the first thing I think of is food. Nutritious foods, like fresh fruits, vegetables and lean proteins. However, MOVEMENT is also a very important nutrient that our bodies crave and require for healthy cell function.

Variety in our movement, just as variety in our diet,  is essential for overall health. We all know that broccoli has many health benefits like, fiber, vitamin C and is low in fat. But if you only eat broccoli, you will miss out on other necessary nutrients your body needs to perform optimally. Movement is the same. Yoga is a wonderful form of exercise that checks many health box benefits, like strength & flexibility. However, just like only eating broccoli can be harmful to your overall health, so can only sticking to one form of exercise. If you only do yoga for exercise, you will miss out other movement nutrients like, cardio, agility, speed and power.

LEAP-Groove studio can help you improve your movement nutrition. Contact me today for more information.

Body Groove

Body Groove is my favorite modality to teach. As a Group Fitness professional, Body Groove checks ALL the performance components for a round diet in Movement Nutrition: power, speed, agility, coordination, balance, & reaction time, with a few other nutrients for good measure like flexibility, and cardio.

What is Body Groove? It's a workout that doesn't feel like a workout. BodyGroove gets you smiling, laughing and moving your body your way. Without judgement and will lots of support. Emotional, mental and physical. Watch the videos below to learn more, or contact me today to book your own Body Groove sessions.

What is Groove?
One of our love notes:

“I have a talented friend who just became a Groove instructor. To support her in her new class, I decided to check it out this morning. In my mind, I was doing it more for her than for me. Then magic happened!  I felt how energizing and freeing the rhythmic movements felt. Stomping, swaying, jumping, cha-cha-ing. There were lots of gentle reminders to “move in your own way“ and “do what feels good.” And the best part? After what seems like endless months in pandemic mode, it was so fun to do it with nine other women, each moving their own way. Thanks, Dee Mendoza Engelthaler for creating a judgement free zone and the opportunity to get energized through C.onnections with my body and the energy of others! If you haven’t yet today, get moving, connect with yourself and R.O.C.K. thru!”
